THURSDAY:
Two Saturdays ago I was super "busy" (or so i thought) and I was running from thing to thing, grocery store, cleaning out Grayson's room, babysitting Wade's cousins little boy, and my sister Tara called to take Bennett to the beach. So she picked him up and off they went, not long after they were calling me asking when I was going to get there. In my head I was "TOO BUSY." It was not until the next day when my sister said that Bennett had mentioned about 4 times that he wanted his mom there that I realized I needed to stop and enjoy a "weekend" with my boys. So I got a brilliant idea to get out of town and enjoy some time with my boys uninterrupted. When I'm home on the weekends I am usually distracted by other things, so i wanted to get out and give them all of my attention. Originally I had not planned on taking any time off of work, but i decided to ask for Friday off and we would head up to Santa Barbara for the weekend. Well Wednesday night I was talking to my friend Barbara and her and her boys were in San Diego for the week and she mentioned that they might go to Sea World the next day, she said it would be fun if we could join her, but she wasn't really serious because she knew I had to work. WELL, I decided it would be fun to start our weekend even a day early and I asked for the day off. So the boys and I headed down to Sea World on Thursday and met Barbara and her boys. I'm so glad I took the day off, we ended up having a fun day and got the weekend started off just right.

These boys were so silly together all day. Little buddies.

Bennett is so sweet to Kaden, he thinks he is cuter than his own brother because he has smaller hands! Ha ha, it was cute.

Waiting for the Shamu show.

I knew the boys would fall asleep on the way home and we had spotted a Little Cesars the last time we were at Sea World, so we headed over and had a little back seat picnic before we headed our separate ways for the day.

Crazy boys, and Barbara nursing her little guy in the back ground! Fun day.
FRIDAY:Friday we woke up and had an appointment to go to and then we got in the car and headed up as far as Thousand Oaks. We stopped to visit with Wade's dad and the boys had a blast. We could have stayed there all weekend, the boys were in heaven. They put gold fish in the pond, rode on a go-cart, saw the birds, played in the dirt, Grandpa gave the boys awesome kites, they had so much fun with "pa". We then met up for dinner with our friends the Zeedik's and were able to stay at their home that night. We had fun visiting with them even though we wish we could have seen them longer, the time went by so fast.

Putting the gold fish in the pond.

Boys being boys with their grandpa Decker.

Wade's dad took us on a really cool ride all over the Decker property. It was so cool, the boys thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Wade's uncle has a whole bunch of birds and Bennett is super into birds right now, so he thought it was neat to see them all. They were so loud we had to cover our ears.

Thanks for the fun day Grandpa.
SATURDAY:
We woke up Saturday early and headed up to Santa Barbara to finish our weekend there. We started at the zoo with the Zeedik's and Wade's dad, and then Wade's cousin Tami and her two boys met us there as well. It was sort of a cold day, but it was nice and the crowds were very little at the zoo.

Halle Zeedik with Bennett and Grayson. Bennett said he wants a little baby like that at his house. Funny.

Morning at the zoo with the Zeediks, thanks for joining us!

We tried to get the boys to feed the giraffes but they were both scared so Wade had to get slobbered on instead.

After the zoo we hit up State St in Santa Barbara for some food and very little shopping (much to my disappointment!) Of course we had to swing in the Volcom store, but other than that it was mostly window shopping. The boys were restless so we decided to find a park instead.

Grandpa and Tami joined us for lunch and the park afterwards.

We found the coolest park ever. The boys did not want to stop playing, and in the spirit of the weekend we let them play for as long as they wanted. It was a really cool park, I even had fun on the slide. Bennett and Ethan are the exact same age and had fun playing together.

We stayed at a fun hotel, which is always exciting to the boys. We had a little picnic on the beds for dinner and ended our night watching movies with the boys. That was pretty much it, we had planned on staying Sunday and enjoying the day, but we woke up to rain and the coldest wind ever. So we grabbed breakfast and headed home. It was a successful time for sure. Last night when i was putting Bennett to bed he asked, "Mom, can we do another "weekend" again soon." It was super cute, so i think I got what I wanted, a fun weekend with my boys and we got to see some friends and family too. Now we just need to go back again soon, there are a lot more things we wanted to do and people we wanted to see, hope to see you all next time, maybe we will have to come up for a week!
