I heart NY
So my trip that I have been looking forward to for months is over. I am sort of depressed now because I had such a great time and now it is back to tantrums and poopy pants! I do have to say that I probably would have enjoyed myself no matter where I would have gone with no kids and 8 other woman, but New York is such a fun city. I can't believe I have never gone. I almost wish I could live there. I really do love cities and wish i would have tried living in one when I was younger and not married. Our weekend was non-stop from the second I left my house I hardly slept. We did it all. We saw two shows, ate at the most amazing restuarants, rode the subway, drove in crazy cabs (including my cab on the way to the airport when I was sure I was going to die), empire state building, statue of liberty, shopped, Central Park, talked, laughed, see pictures for more details. It was so fun to eat and enjoy myself without having to rush with kids, and sit and visit and stay up late and have no worries except for myself. I think everyone deserves a girls weekend once in a while. I had such a wonderful time, and I hope to be back in NYC soon. (with Wade this time, still no kids!)

How fun!!! I'm so glad you were able to have such a great NYC experience and nothing too crazy happened (besides the cab ride to the airport). Your pictures were so cool to look at!
I'm so glad you had fun! Us mothers need to have little getaways like this and rejuvenate. Plus- the boys were probably so excited to see you and will appreciate you more now. I guess we won't be seeing each other anytime soon. Carruth is going to laugh in my face today when he see's us come in. I'm scared.
I am so glad you had a great time. You deserve it! I thoroughly enjoyed the NYC slide show. Thanks for sharing!
I am so jealous! I love NYC. I am glad you had such a fabulous time and that you got to be child free. It seemed like you were gone for forever! I am sure Wade felt that way too. :)
Sounds like a lot of fun - I am hoping to do a trip like that sooner than later. I love that you had a good time - there is no sense it leaving your kids only to think about them all the time and worry. I'm glad you were able to truely get away from it all.
So much fun. I remember when you visited me in SF and we decided we needed to go to NYC the next year just the two of us. Little did we know I was pregnant and you were about to be. I'm so glad you got to go. Tyler and I have talked about going out there. He hasn't been either. Some day. I am so glad you got a break. Watch out, they become addictive!
How fun....I am jealous. I loved the slide show; it looks like you had such a fun time. And since flights these days are cheaper from LA to NYC than they are to Salt Lake, I say we do it again soon!!
1)I think you should have just said, "I met Samuel L. Jackson." Noone would know :) That picture is creepy!
2)Looks like so much fun! Brad and I went to NYC a month before 9/11. We had an awesome time.
3) I'm wondering how the milk situation is? After that picture in the freezer, I'm dying to hear!
4) Glad to have you back!
Why don't I have the guts to do a trip like this? I must be so worth it.
Every single thing you just said is exactly how I feel about New York. I can't even tell you how depressed i've been today since coming back from New York. It was so much fun and I so wish that before i had kids, Rob and i would have moved there for a couple of years. I kept calling Rob while I was there telling him that i want to move there. i just can't even imagine doing it with kids though and on the subway, it would be so hard. Anyway, I loved your pictures, they were like the exact pictures i just took. I think we might have stayed in the same exact hotel? The marriot marquis on like 26th avenue?
I am glad that you had fun. That sounds like a lot of fun. I haven't been since I was 17. You and Elizabeth can mourn being back together!
Wow, looks like an awesome time. I want to go to New York now! And without kids!
I'm really curious as to how all the pumping went and if Grayson is still nursing. Hope he took a bottle!
I'm so glad you had such a fun trip. I love NY too. I wish I could go back soon with Matt also. It is such a great place for a girls trip though. Fun pictures! Glad the kids survived with out you. I can't believe that milk supply you left home! That was amazing!!
Wow, awesome trip! It would be so fun to go with the girls. Glad you had a good time.
I always wished we had lived there too. We were close though, we lived in Connecticut and we took dates to NY to see broadway shows...ah those were the days.
