Pleasantly Surprised

So I did something today that I have been dreading doing because I was convinced that it was going to have a bad outcome...I took Bennett to the dentist. For those of you who know me you know that my number one fear in life is going to the dentist. I really hate everything about it, so making Bennett go through it was so scary for me. But I knew it was going to have to happen sooner or later, and i really did think that his teeth were all going to be rotten due to the amount of juice he drinks, candy he eats, and breathing treatments he does for his asthma. BUT- his teeth were perfect. I was such a proud mom. I had to pretend that we were going to the fun dentist and that it was going to be all fun and games. You should have seen Bennett, he was so scared but he put on his game face and did everything they told him. He got his teeth cleaned and then they did a fluoride treatment and the hygienist that did it kept telling Bennett how yummy the taste was and Bennett kept agreeing with her, but the first thing he said to me when we walked out was..."Mommy, that orange toothpaste was not yummy!" He was so polite and didn't want to seem rude, so he went with it. How cute huh? I am so glad that he had nice teeth and that I can put that fear behind me. Sorry, no photos.

I totally agree - I have always hated going to the dentist and I put it off as well. Good for Bennett, what a trooper!

That is great! You should keep it up and go often so he continues to have good experiences. Paige was terrified! I dred taking her back! Glad to hear it went well - I hope Bennett gets over his cold so he can come to preschool this Thursday!

I just took Kai for the first time 4 months ago and I was totally dreading it, too. He did good, too, and I was SOOOO proud. Way to go, Sara! That a rite of passage and you should feel great! By the way, I tagged you..see my blog!

Oh I am so scared to do that. I can't take Eliza until she is done with treatment, so I will probably take them both next year. I don't think it will be fun. Bennett will have to talk it up to Avery.
