Holy Mud Run
We did it! The Camp Pendleton Mud Run was today and I'm so glad it is over. It was so much fun, but I have been so nervous about it for a while now. I ran it with a team of friends, Adrienne, Elizabeth, Julia, Tracy, and I. The course was a 10K run with some crazy hills, crazy wall climbs, tires, bails of hay you had to climb on, mud crawl, tunnel crawl.....it was pretty intense for someone like me, not in shape! It was fun though, and now i know what to expect so I can be more prepared next year.
This was Elizabeth, Julia, and I waiting around making ourselves sick thinking about what we were about to do!
Our team name was "Squeaky Clean". Team pic before we got all muddy.
This is one of the mud walls, that is me on the far right climbing the wall, it was so hard.
Me at the very end you have to crawl through this mud...it was so gross.
Just crossed the finish line, sooooo glad it was over.
This is such a scary picture of me with Adrienne (only I look scary), but we were so excited to be getting in a freezing cold shower fully clothed!!!

I was wondering who was going to post first. I guess you win. I have been so excited to hear all about it. I can't wait to hear everyone's stories. I too, am excited about next year. I guess I better be ready by then. Holy cow, Mack will be a year and a half. I'm so glad you all got to do it! Looks like a blast!
A girl I used to work with does this run every year - it sounds awesome. I am very impressed by your after baby abilities! Way to go...you are my hero!

Good job to all the girls that did this! Everyone looks great and so skinny!!! Is that what happens when you exercise? I really one day will start to do so. I would love to get into a running routine. I just wish it didn't blow my calves up! They are already too big and I don't like them! Fun day... the messy mud part looks awesome!

You should come up next year for the Ft. Lewis mud run. Not that I would do it with you or anything:) But I didn't realize that it is a military wide thing. Good for you. You have always been good at keeping yourself in shape. Glad you had a great time with your friends.
Wow! That looks so disgusting. I've thought about doing it, but just haven't had the chance. Maybe next year?

It was a lot of fun. I'm sad that we never saw you guys during the run.... I can't wait to do it again.... well I guess I can - till next year! btw - you look great, muddy and all.
